Clocks are wanted that were made from 1700 through 1899 (only clocks from this period are wanted). We buy shelf clocks, wall clocks and old grandfather clocks from America, England, France, and Germany. We want: Beehive clocks; Black Forest trumpeter clocks (these are like cuckoo clocks, except instead of a bird, a man plays a trumpet); Calendar clocks; Carved clocks (those carved with columns, eagles, fruit baskets, splats, etc.); Cherub clocks; Cuckoo clocks (need to be very old and heavily carved); We will buy your used grandfather clock; Ornate clocks with busts; Teardrop clocks; clocks with side mirrors; Steeple clocks; and other high quality unique clocks. We want pillar and scroll clocks (these are clocks on a wooden pillar about 36 inches high, with or without the scroll of a swans neck). We want clocks with reverse painting on the glass. We want spring or weight driven clocks. We want clocks with walnut or cherry cases. Some of the brands to watch for are: Eli Terry, and Seth Thomas clocks. We only want clocks in very good condition, we do not want any that have the wood pulling apart, or that need a lot of repair. A few (very few), clocks needing minor repair might be considered, but condition and age are very important. We do not want any Arts and Crafts Mission period clock; electric clocks; oak gingerbread kitchen clocks; plain ogee clocks (rectangular clocks that look like a picture frame); clocks that have been restored; or souvenir clocks.
